an impression is not made by what fills a room - it is made by what holds it together. the quality of light as it falls across a surface. the quiet confidence of a form that doesn't need to announce itself. the sense that everything in a space belongs, without knowing exactly why.

that is what impressions by m was built around.

the beginning

impressions by m started as a 3d printing hobby in early 2021, with a dusty old printer. what began as curiosity - a maker's instinct to see what form could become; quietly evolved into something with a clearer purpose: to elevate the everyday aesthetic, one considered piece at a time.

we are a boutique design studio based in sydney, australia, specialising in handcrafted 3d-printed luminaries and home décor. every piece is designed with a single ethos: to leave a lasting impression.

not mass produced. not rushed. made to order, by hand, with intention.

design philosophy

we design from stillness.

most of our forms are drawn from the natural world: air currents, organic movement, the geometry of things that have existed long before trend cycles. lumen, for instance, was carefully curated to highlight its quiet elegance of a moment frozen in motion; flowing striations and sculpted curves that bring presence, calmness, and timeless fluidity to any room it enters.

we believe that truly beautiful objects do not follow a moment. they outlast it.

every curve, every striation, every finish is deliberate. nothing is decorative for decoration's sake. when a piece earns its place in your home, you will know.

materials & sustainability

luxury and responsibility are not opposites.

our pieces are crafted using eco-friendly degradable thermoplastics: materials chosen for their reduced environmental footprint without compromise to finish or form. we work with additive manufacturing techniques that minimise waste at the point of production, creating only what is needed.

every item is made to order. there is no overstock. no excess. just considered production, one impression at a time.
